ปลายเดือนตุลาคมที่ผ่านมา ผมได้มีโอกาศไปเยี่ยมบริษัท Airbnb HQ ที่ซานฟรานซิสโก
เมื่อเราเข้าไปในอาคาร หากลองมองไปด้านบน คุณจะพบกับน้องยีราฟทักทายกลับมา และที่สำคัญตุ๊กตายีราฟมีตราพนักงานเสียด้วย! เธอมีชื่อว่า"คิมเบอร์ลี"
เรื่องราวเริ่มขึ้นเมื่อเด็กคนหนึ่ง ลืมยีราฟของเขาไว้ที่ Ritz Carlton เขากังวลมากและพ่อแม่ของเขาส่งอีเมลถึงโรงแรมเพื่อดูว่าพวกเขาพบตุ๊กตาหรือไม่ โรงแรมแจ้งว่าพบแล้วและกำลังจะส่งคืน
ในกล่องพัสดุที่ส่งกลับมา ข้างในนอกจากจะเป็นเจ้ายีราฟ กลับมีรูปถ่ายของเจ้ายีราฟนอนชิลๆอยู่ในริมสระน้ำ นวดในสปา เพลิดเพลินกับพระอาทิตย์ตกดินบนชายหาด และรับประทานอาหารเช้าแบบจัดเต็ม
จดหมายจากทางโรงแรมเขียนว่า "ทางโรงแรมรู้สึกเป็นเกรียติที่ได้ดูแลคุณคิมเบอร์ลี่ เราทุกคนรักเขาและยินดีต้อนรับกลับมาทุกเสมอ"
ผู้ก่อตั้ง Airbnb (ผมคิดว่า คือ คุณโจ) อ่านเจอเรื่องนี้และกลายเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้เขาสร้างทีม #Airbnblove ใครมีโอกาสแวะไปอย่าลืมไปทักทายน้องคิมเบอร์ลีด้วยนะครับ
In October 2022, I visit an Airbnb HQ, when you enter a building if you look upper you will meet Kimberly the giraffe and you may wonder why a giraffe doll got an employee badge!
So, the story begins when a child forgot his soft giraffe toy at Ritz Carlton. He is so worried and his parent emails the hotel to see that do they found the doll. The hotel says they found it and are about to send it back.
In come in a box…. Big box. Inside is his giraffe and photos that the giraffe sitting in a pool. Stay in a spa, enjoy the sunset on a beach, and have breakfast.
Instant of just returning a doll. The hotel takes care of this giraffe and says…. Kimberly is welcome back anytime.
Airbnb founder (I think Joe) found this story and inspire him to create an #Airbnblove team. A team That supports belongs anywhere.
Please note, I may not remember the story correctly but how 70% is right.
Nowadays, I am still not sure, if the team #Airbnblove still exists. When I start hosting and got my first cancellation. This love team sent me a flower, and at that time I am so surprised! Some say, If your guest is a couple who just marry and you know you can tell them, The Airbnb team will send a gift to your listing. So I wish they were still there.
